Tech Exeter Conference: TECH - HACK - DEVELOP

Exeter’s multi-disciplinary, grassroots tech conference run by TechExeter CIC returns for its fourth year on 11th September 2019. Bringing industry-leading voices, new speakers and the tech + digital community together in an inclusive, community-driven, friendly and welcoming one-day, multi-track event.

The fourth annual conference boasts three conference tracks (TECH, HACK, and DEVELOP), four workshops and hands-on sessions, as well as giving participants the opportunity to network and learn new skills. Held at the University of Exeter Business School and The Exeter MBA, Tech Exeter CIC’s conference has space for 200 delegates and 25 speakers from a wide range of organisations, both local and international.

Keynote speaker Andi Hudson, Cloud Security Architecture Lead at IBM Security, will be opening the conference by posing the question ‘How do you secure a cloud?’ which will set the tone for the day. This year’s ‘data & security’ theme has a mix of technical & non-technical talks, workshops, hands-on hacking, and deep dives exploring the topic on different levels, enabling tech and digital professionals, educators, students, upskillers and hobbyists to learn, interact and hack.

TechExeter CIC director Kris Sum, said: “We are thrilled to be back for our fourth, and biggest event yet! Our region is a fantastic place for tech and our conference brings such a fantastic range of people together, from hobbyists through to global corporate organisations - a true mix and realistic representation of the tech and digital community.”
